Video chatting app Houseparty has expanded its livestreaming tools by letting Fortnite players on PC and PlayStation consoles stream gameplay to up to nine of their friends.
The feature is only available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. There’s no word on if it will become available to other platforms. Epic Games said it will “let everyone know if we’re able to support more platforms in the future.”
Just because Borderlands failed to launch at the box office, it doesn’t mean Hollywood is giving up on video game movies. Perhaps thanks in part to the success of Sonic the Hedgehog’s two movies, another classic Sega game is coming to the big screen: Eternal Champions.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Skydance is producing the live-action Eternal Champions movie. The game was originally published by Sega for the Genesis in 1993, and the story revolved around a tournament to determine who the new Eternal Champion would be. Characters from the past, present, and future were brought together to fight until one emerged as the victor. The winning participant would get to resume their life and fulfil their destiny as humanity’s champion. The rest would be returned to the moment of their respective deaths.

Read moreNintendo has announced that Switch hardware and software sales were “below expectations” for the first nine months of its latest fiscal year (April-December 2024) and is also now expecting to sell fewer Switch consoles and games than it previously forecast.
Whereas Nintendo initially announced it was expecting to sell 12.5 million Switch consoles for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, it now expects sales to reach 11 million. Additionally, Nintendo originally modeled 160 million game sales for the fiscal year but is now expecting 10 million fewer, or 150 million.

Additionally, players have together logged more than 8.5 million custom game matches since the Custom Game Browser launched in December 2022. The Custom Game Browser lets people seek out and find custom game types created with Forge, and there are some really fun and unique ones out there.

Ybarra noted that “most will dislike this idea,” with many consumers already tired of tipping culture coming to other industries.
Ybarra introduced the idea in a tweet, as picked up by IGN, saying he had been thinking about it for a while as he was playing more single-player games.
“At the end of the game, I’ve often thought, ‘I wish I could give these folks another $10 or $20 because it was worth more than my initial $70 and they didn’t try to nickel and dime me every second,'” Ybarra explained.
